What is WECA X?

The World Energy Capital Assembly connects oil & gas executives with finance and investment professionals from around the world. Dedicated to the capitalisation and development of the industry, the Assembly provides unrivalled access, and introductions, to global deal and market makers. As we near the end of 2020, we focus on how the industry can come back to life more efficient, cost-effective and collaborative than ever.

In order to dig deeper into each topic, this year we would like to introduce you to WECA X.  This new format delivers even more relevant content through a series of focussed round tables, with extended networking breaks for bespoke Council Connect meetings.

  • Are investors more likely or less likely now to invest in energy efficiency? What are the realistic returns?

INDUSTRY TRANSFORMATION & LONG TERM FORECASTS

  • Examining the short and midterm anticipated impacts for 2021

  • Are investors bullish, bearish or uncertain about the outlook for oil and gas going into 2021?

COST-CUTTING AND COLLABORATION
  • With already tighter margins and limited available capital, what will further CAPEX reductions mean for the industry and can cost savings really be made without destroying the service industry?

  • The role of collaboration across the supply chain: How can operators and the service industry work together to ensure industry resilience in the face of increased cost-cutting?

  • How can knowledge transfer and open discussion lead to innovation and growth?

  • The role of digital in the drive towards cost-cutting

THE FUTURE FOR SMALL/MID CAPS
  • How creative can smaller players be and which providers of special capital as well as traditional lending groups can small caps rely on?

  • What fundamental shifts will we see in the small cap market as a result of this extreme downturn?

  • What will access to capital look like for small cap E&P? Private vs Public

  • Are traditional lending groups willing to give small caps a line of credit?
