The Energy Council’s 2018 Gas-to-Power Africa Congress will see 300 senior executives from along the whole power generation value chain, including governments, off takers, developers, gas upstream suppliers, utilities, EPC Companies, and financiers come together to discuss the future of Gas-to-Power in Africa. Taking place once again in conjunction with Africa Utility Week, one of the world’s leading energy events which welcomed over 7400 attendees over three days in 2017, key topics to be discussed at the Congress include:

  • Status of South Africa’s Gas-to-Power Program
  • The role of Gas-to-Power in securing African energy supply
  • Ensuring the competitiveness of domestic resources in a global market
  • Developing bankable commercial frameworks
  • Gas pricing and the opportunities related to allocating supply between LNG exports and domestic power markets
  • Overcoming gas transportation infrastructure challenges
  • Nigeria’s Roadmap for Power Sector Reform
  • Moroccan LNG National Development Plan
  • Overview of projects and/or opportunities in Algeria, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Mozambique, Senegal and Tanzania.
