2018 China Energy Assembly: Enabling China's Energy Transition

Join us in 2018 as 500 business leaders from energy (upstream, LNG/midstream, downstream, infrastructure, renewables, services), finance and investment gather to discuss the future of China

A huge thank you to each of the 400 sponsors, speakers, VIP guests and delegates who attended our 2017 China Assembly in Beijing. A fantastic event was enjoyed by all (see testimonials below).

Our Assembly is now firmly recognised as the most international energy meeting in China, with the participation of Chinese SOEs, NOCs and Government, as well as International Oil & Gas Companies, energy companies, energy service companies, industry advisors, financiers and investors.

The event will continue to be a major business development, strategy and investment meeting designed for attendees to discuss the role that China will play in the global energy industry. Organised by the Energy Council and its Partners, the 2018 Assembly will be another sell out event gathering executives from upstream, midstream/LNG, downstream, trading, finance, investment and petroleum services sectors to Beijing for another two days of engaging thought leadership, business development, and CEO-level networking.

The event is held under Chatham House Rule and with simultaneous dual translation (Mandarin and English) for the benefit of local and international attendees.

“Energy Council has done a wonderful job in organizing and bringing in people from oil and gas industrial for information sharing and relationship building. It is the Oscar and Grammy for oil and gas industry. We look forward to participate in future events.”
Bo Li, Director, Investment Director, Geo-Jade Petroleum

“It was a pleasure joining the 2017 China Energy Assembly. Thank you so much for organizing such a good event where people within the energy industry in China or out of China can actually have a nice gathering and catch up both for relationship build up or industry insights sharing.”
Ding Lin, Managing Director, Fosun Oil and Gas

“I attended the China Energy Assembly for the first time this year and what I really appreciated is the quality of the discussions with panels of experienced speakers which were not just focusing on only one or two specific angles of China energy mix but rather, provided various insightful perspectives on the current market and future business and investment opportunities in all sectors. The event was well organised and offered quality networking. Congratulations to the organisers”.
Christophe Malet, Senior Vice President, Upstream, Hanas New Energy

“Excellent event, very informative and well run.  It was a good opportunity to improve the knowledge about China energy markets and develop guanxi with industry colleagues”
Hengwei Liu, Executive Vice President, Policy, External and Regulatory Affairs, ENGIE China

“The 2017 China Energy Assembly was quite impressive and well organized. The quality of speakers and the experience of moderators was excellent. Participating in the event has inspired new thoughts and new ideas for the industry to overcome the current challenges and to make a competitive and more environmentally friendly energy mix, without compromising safety and security of supply. It was a fantastic opportunity to network with various stakeholders from the O&G industry, including government officials. Definitely a great event, not to be missed.”
Adnan Ezzarhouni, General Manager, China, GTT

"Energy Council is a good platform bringing industry professionals together, shedding light on industry trends and opportunities.”
Jun Bai, Deputy Director, Institute of International Energy, NDRC (Chinese Government)

"Once again, the Energy Council’s 2017 China Assembly brought together the right people, at the right time to discuss the right topics.”
Gavin Thompson, Senior Vice President and Head, Research (APAC), Wood Mackenzie

"It was a pleasure to speak at the China Energy Assembly this year, a timely event to share views among policy makers and industry leaders on the topic of “China’s Energy Transition”. No doubt that China will soon showcase to the world how to continue developing its economy but still be able to reduce the impact on environment."
Philip Sui, CEO, New Energy Business, Towngas
