What is Canada Assembly & Dinner?
The annual Oil & Gas Council’s Canada Assembly will once again return to Calgary this May.
This year’s theme and content will focus on E&P strategy and top energy opportunities in Canada. The Assembly, welcoming over 270 executives every year, is the ideal platform for networking and personal introductions to key clients, many of which result in deals. We will continue our celebrated tradition of honoring the industry and community achievements of one of our colleagues at the 2018 VIP Awards Dinner- a highlight of every local executive’s calendar.
This year’s recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award is John Dielwart the founder of ARC Resources & the Vice Chairman of ARC Financial. Join us for a full day of industry-led discussions, C-level networking and the celebration of the achievements of John Dielwart.

These executives are responsible for pioneering new frontiers, pushing boundaries, for inspiring others and for achieving growth in challenging markets as well as giving back to the communities. They are those that we should be proud of and that we benchmark industry excellence to.
We’re pleased to announce the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Recipient as John Dielwart. We will be celebrating his successes and achievements at the Canada Awards Dinner, May 30, 2018.
“Over the last couple of weeks since your event, I have had many executives in the patch tell me how much they enjoyed your event. Very professionally organized and had a high calibre group of panellists and attendees. It is most surprising your Lifetime Achievement Award is only 3 years old – it already seen in the business community is a well-established event.’Adam Waterous
“The growth in the Oil Council to include renewables this year was exciting- it assists us to assess the impact of competing sources of energy. I look forward each year to attending this event for its high profile presenters and networking with other energy professionals. For those that have never attended please consider this event next year, once you attend you will benefit- it has to offer”Lee Wahl
“The event provided a useful context to catch up with old friends and meet some new people. Attendees included a high ratio of interesting movers and shakers. It allowed a chance to hear the tones the industry is humming with. I enjoyed dinner seated beside an interesting politician, and Adam Waterous provided an entertaining and educational presentation”Grant Strem

“This turned out to be an excellent event. The speakers were all C-level and had highly relevant and interesting talk tracks. It’s absolutely the sort of event we should be taking part in. Great event for us to elevate our brand and shape the way we’re viewed in the marketplace.”
“Thank you very much for including me in the Canada Assembly event. It was a great event, bringing together executives from leading Canadian companies and financing sources. The panels offered significant insight into how the industry in Canada is adapting, surviving and even thriving despite current commodity prices. Please keep me in mind for future events and panels.”Rob Johnson
